Looking for something fun to do this weekend? Benicia Art Walk marks the city's first major public event of the year. Celebrate one of the Bay Area’s most active art communities, and enjoy entertainment & live demonstrations at 8 galleries in downtown Benicia.
When: June 10th, 12pm-4pm
Where: First Street, Benicia
Benicia Art Walk runs from 12pm-4pm, every second Saturday of June, July, September and October. We recommend arriving a bit early, giving yourself time to make a whole day enjoying the city's many artisanal dining and boutique shopping options, as well!

Free Summer Fun
Escaping the heat this summer just got a whole lot cooler. The event is free to the public, and there’s always plenty of free street parking nearby.

Special demonstrations and activities include:
View a special exhibit highlighting this month's featured artist, Phil Venable. The gallery will also be introducing hand-made folk dolls from Kim Lopez and "Mandala Journey" paintings from Marion Maenner (they're like candy for your eyes!)
333 First Street, Suite D
Enjoy drinks and appetizers. Reception from 2-4pm features Suze Castillo-Munoz and Charlene Steen. Also works by Robert Nelson.

View the beautiful dichroic glass jewelry and glass mosaic work of Michalen Silva. Dichroic glass is a non-translucent glass that is produced by stacking layers of glass and micro-layers of metals & oxides, creating a shifting of colors & iridescent light play.
Additionally, in collaboration with Arts Benicia, the mixed media artwork of Valentina Arenas will be on display. Valentina Arenas offers her vision of the natural world by finding inspiration in plants, animals, and people immersed in natural environments.

Enjoy live music, refreshments and meet featured artist at NY2CA Gallery from 3-6 p.m.. Melina Meza, Oakland photographer, and Melissa Woodburn, Fine Art Baskets from Novato will be there to talk about their work.
