Benicia Memorial Day Ceremony

Benicia Historical Society invites you to the annual Memorial Day Ceremony honoring those who have made the ultimate sacrifice (and those that served and are servicing) at the oldest U.S. Military Cemetery in the Pacific States with graves dating to the 1840s. The ceremony will feature guest speaker Col. Lawrence T. Brown, Garrison Commander, Presidio of Monterey, rifle salute by Military History Preservation Society, patriotic music by Diablo Regional Concert Band, color guard by VFW Benicia Post 3928 & American Legion Benicia Post 101, wreath laying ceremony, buglers playing Taps, a bagpiper playing Amazing Grace, and a military flyover by Travis Air Force Base. Light refreshments will be served.
Take Military East, left on Hospital Road, left on Buchanan, then follow the signs. Parking is limited. Why not take the free Soltrans shuttle? It runs from City Park at First & Military to the cemetery every 20 minutes, 7:45 AM – 12:05 PM.
