Benicia visitors are in for a treat this Saturday afternoon, as several art galleries on First Street will be holding special showcases.
Live Oil Painting Demo: Once Upon a Canvas Artist Charles White of Once Upon a Canvas will be performing a live oil painting demo from 1-3:30pm, outside of the Tannery building at the south end of First Street.

Live Outdoor Oil Painting: Arata Art Gallery
Arata Art Gallery will be hosting their very own “Artist in the Window” event from 12-5pm, with Robert Evans doing a live demonstration creating an oil painting.
“Artist in the Window” will become a regular event at Arata Art Gallery that will give visitors to downtown Benicia an opportunity to watch an artist create a work of art while staying socially distanced in the outdoor air.

"Meet the Artist": Benicia Plein Air Gallery Artist MaryLou Correia will be outside the Benicia Plein Air Gallery , in the side courtyard. MaryLou will have unframed works at reduced prices from 2-6pm, during "Meet the Artist."
30% of sales will be donated to the Contra Costa and Solano County food banks.
Also on exhibit is a new collection of plein air paintings by all 13 of the gallery's artists.
